LCJVS Patriot Day Memorial
A Place of Remembrance. Reflection.
On the campus of Lorain County JVS stands a piece of American history—a steel beam recovered from the World Trade Center following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
Entrusted to LCJVS as a permanent memorial, the beam honors the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the courage of the first responders who answered the call, the service of our military, and the resilience of a nation forever changed.
More than a monument, this memorial serves as a place for education, reflection, and community. Each year, students, families, veterans, first responders, and community members gather here to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice and to reaffirm the values of service, unity, and patriotism that continue to define our country.
The LCJVS Patriot Day Memorial is open to the public throughout the year. We invite you to visit, reflect, and remember.
Never Forget.
