Students in grades 7–12, parents/guardians, community members, adult learners, and anyone interested in exploring career-technical education programs, tours, and pathways at Lorain County JVS.

Free parking is available on campus. Clear signage and staff will direct you to the main entrance designated for the event.

Yes. Every instructor will be present in their labs to answer questions, explain curriculum, and demonstrate equipment and career-ready skills.

Absolutely. You are encouraged to explore as many labs and pathways as you’d like to find the right fit for your interests and career goals.

Yes. The event the focus is on both high school and adult career center programming. The adult career center will be open to meet with potential learners.

Most career-tech programs begin junior year, although students entering as freshmen will start in the Career Readiness program and sophomores will enter in the Career Exploration program. Staff will be available to explain pathways for 9th–12th graders.

Applications portal is now open. During the Open House, admissions staff can walk you through the process, deadlines, requirements, and next step—you can apply at the event.

Most families spend 45–90 minutes touring labs, meeting instructors, and exploring the campus. You are welcome to stay as long as you’d like.
