The Career Exploration Program is designed for 10th-grade students seeking an engaging, hands-on high school experience centered around future career possibilities.

Throughout the school year, students rotate through a variety of Lorain County JVS career technical labs—gaining valuable exposure to multiple career fields. This structure empowers students to make an informed, confident decision when selecting a two-year career technical program for their junior and senior years.

Student Eligibility

Students must meet the following criteria to be considered for enrollment:

  • Currently enrolled as a sophomore

  • At least 15 years old

  • Have earned 3–6 high school credits

How to Apply

To be considered for the Career Exploration Program:

  • Submit a Lorain County JVS application

  • Obtain a recommendation from your school counselor
