9th Grade Career Readiness Program
What to Expect
As a freshman, you’ll rotate through multiple lab experiences throughout the school year. These experiences will help you identify your strengths and interests while giving you a head start on choosing your future JVS program. Emphasis is placed on career exploration, project-based learning, and building technical and soft skills.
Eligibility Requirements
Students must:

Be a high school freshman

Be 14 years old
-
Have earned between 0–3 high school credits

Submit a completed Lorain County JVS application
-
Have a recommendation from their school counselor
Next Steps
Upon successful completion of the Career Readiness Program, students are eligible to apply for the 10th Grade Career Exploration Program and continue their journey toward a career-focused education at Lorain County JVS.
