How to Apply to Lorain County JVS High School

    • Click Apply Now

    • Select High School Students Apply Online Now

    • Click Create a New Account (to the left of the parent login)

    • Enter your personal and account information

    • Click Register & Begin

    • Complete Parts 1, 2, and 3 of the application

    • Click Save & Submit to District

    • Print a copy and return it to your school counselor

    Important:

    • A parent/guardian signature is required.

    • Applications are reviewed after first semester is completed.

    • Upon acceptance, student transcripts are reviewed to ensure proper scheduling and provide resources as needed. 

  • JVS also offers exploratory, hands-on programs for freshmen and sophomores.

    9th Grade Career-Readiness Lab: Structured, skills-based training to prepare students for upper-level Career-Technical programs.

    10th Grade Career-Exploration Rotation: Explore multiple lab experiences and develop career-focused skills before choosing a specific program. For details on 9th/10th grade admission, contact:

  • Lorain County JVS serves as an extension of 13 Associate School districts in Lorain County.
    Admission is based on:

    • GPA (Public Safety Career Pathway)

    • Students are recommended to earn at least 9 high school credits before applying.

        English 2
        Math 2
        Science 2
        Social Studies 2
        Health/PE 1
    • Students can earn up to 14 credits at JVS.

  • In compliance with federal law, our school district administers all education programs, employment opportunities, and admissions without discrimination against any person on he basis of: gender, race, color, religion, national origin, age, or disability. 

    Students need to be actively enrolled in one of our associate school districts to be eligible to attend LCJVS. Students enrolled in a public charter school within the geographic area of our associate schools – can attend. Students are encouraged to complete the online application – indicating their program of choice. Current LCVJS students are placed first based on their program choice, remaining program availability is allocated based on a random process.
